Longhorn Beef...
The beef stock are raised by their mothers and weaned at a certain age. They are fed on grass until they reach the age and size when they can be brought inside, where they are fed on other feeds till they are ready. Our beef steers aren't fed any growth promoters or given anti-biotics as we like them to mature slowly to give them the consistent good flavour.
To achieve this, the beef carcasses are hung for at least three weeks to provide succulent and tender beef. The slaughter and butchering is carried out locally so the animals are not put under any stress with long road journeys in the trailer. We are farm assured and the beef is fully traceable.
Our beef packs are available in 10kg boxes, labelled and vacuum packed, containing a mix of:
- best roasting and pot roasting joints
- fillet/sirloin and rump steaks
- braising and stewing steak
- minced beef
- sausages and beefburgers (small additional charge)
